Japanese Manga Statistics for March 2002
Hikaru no Go, the story about the ghost of a 400 year-old Go player who teaches a modern day boy about the Japanese game of Go, ranks number one in Japan during March 2002. Also, ranking in the top three is Rumiko Takahashi's Inu Yasha, which is currently a hit in the domestic manga scene as well. Due to the imense popularity of these manga series, both Hikaru no Go and Inu Yasha are broadcasted as animated tv series throughout Japan.
