Monthly Anime CD/Singles Statistics-July 2002
'Mou Do~ni Demo Shite' by PichonkunWith the heat and humidity high in Japan, Daikin Aircon's official mascot, Pichonkun, grabs the number one spot in the July anime CD rankings. Technically, this song is not from an anime, but instead the commercial theme song for Daikin Air Conditioners. Pichonkun is actually a drop of water representing "humidity" and the song lyrics explain his feelings. In the winter, Pichonkun feels wanted because he brings warmth to others, yet in the summer he is tossed away becuase it is too humid. Even though this is just a commercial theme song, many find the song very touching and cute.
