Overall: 3.0
If you can figure out what is going on in Palse, then maybe you should be the Prince.

Story: 3.0
"Arislan" follows too many characters to care about any of them.

Character Development: 3.0
Arislan begins naive and dull-witted, and stays consistently true to his character throughout.

Art/Animation: 3.0
Just like the storyline, nothing in the realm of Palse comes into focus.

Translation: 3.0
Apparently, fake British accents give credibility to poorly developed characters, even if they are supposed to be Persian.

Acting: 2.0
Overdramatic. Overacted. Overdone.

MPAA Equivalent: PG
Fair amount of smiting and disheveling of bodies.

X-Factors

Err...uh...erudite? Factor: 2.0
A veritable catalogue of world myth and folklore. Perhaps they should have read further than the titles when designing the style for "Arislan."
