From October 10 until November 6, GOA accepted open
applications for their Pilot Candidate Training Academy.
The Akadot staff acted as a sounding board for GOA and
sifted through hundreds of eager applicants, narrowing down
the masses to only those with the most potential. For the

10: I should be accepted because Koreans are seriously
underrepresented in anime. Can we say affirmative action?
9: I can fly like an eagle.
8: Giant mech piloting schools are so hard to find in the
US, I need to go somewhere else to learn about my dream:
mech ballet.
7: In the endless darkness of the space there is a teardrop.
The last chance, to be protected... What will come if we
can't cry?
6: I won't get shiny-eyed and decide not to shoot someone
because they're cute, or because they saved me from imminent
death a few moments ago.
5: Oooooooh......Giant Robots............
4: My hair is spiky / My legs are long / For honor and
ideals / I'll fight along
3: I should be accepted as a pilot candidate by GOA because
I'm not afraid to try anything new. I will be a very good
pilot candidate because I don't give up very easily and I
won't stop until I reach my goal to be the best pilot ever.
2: Because Rick Hunter is Soul Brother #1, and I've based my
whole life on him! One day I'll find my Minmay...
1: Because I fit the typical young mecha hero profile: My
dad is a scientist at a robotics factory, I've got no
experience with mechs, and I'm cocky and brash.
