Top Ten Ways to Tell Central Park Media and Media Blasters are Two Different Companies


10: Media Blasters is located at 21 East 51st Street, New York, whereas Central Park Media is located at 51 East 21st Street, New York.

9: Most of Media Blasters' revenue comes from its porn line of videos, whereas most of Central Park Media's revenue comes from its adult entertainment line.

8: Central Park Media produces bad dubs, whereas Media Blasters simply dubs badly.

7: The Ruroni Kenshin Volume 1 DVD released by Media Blasters shipped with a small sound error, a mistake for which they offered to replace any returned DVDs. The Slayers DVD box set released by Central Park Media shipped with sound errors throughout each disc, a mistake for which they magnanimously offered the VHS box set at 80% off.

6: While both companies release scores of sub par OVAs, Central Park Media tempers their selection process with an ounce of common sense, whereas Media Blasters released Apocalypse Zero Battle.

5: Media Blasters' President (John Sirabella) is an Italian, whereas Central Park Media's President (John O'Donnell) is an Irishman. However, it is clear that both companies are headed by a historically disenfranchised group ... people named John.

4: If you email Media Blasters, John Sirabella will actually answer your emails. If you email Central Park Media, Squishy the Leper-Laden Wonder Penguin squawks back.

3: Ironically, the Media Blasters office is near Central Park, whereas the Central Park Media office is always blasted.

2: Both Media Blasters and Central Park Media feel pinned against the wall by mammoth anime companies such as ADV, Viz and Bandai. However, Media Blasters likes it.

1: Representatives of Media Blasters are preceded by billowing plumes of cherry blossoms, whereas representatives of Central Park Media are heralded by an eruptive frenzy of prehensile schlongs.
