Mutio Speaks: Talking anime with Juliet Cesario

Voice Actor Juliet Cesario, most noted for Belldandy in Animeigo's dub release of "Oh, My Goddess," recently voiced the fragile, enigmatic Mutio in "Blue Submarine No. 6." She also appeared on TV's "American Gothic" and "Dawson's Creek." And her real life squeeze just happens to be her anime fantasy- Scott Simpson (aka Kei in "Oh, My Goddess.")


What do you typically order at a Chinese restaurant?

JC: Tofu and veggies!

To what country would you most like to travel?

JC: Italy and Japan.

With which anime character do you feel you share the most?

JC: Well, Gosuku from Blue Sub 6 and I look the most alike. But, Belldandy loves Kei....and so do I!!

What political issue can set you off?

JC: Don't get me started...anything about the inhabitants of the White House!

Who would win in a fight between Winnie the Pooh and Yogi Bear?

JC: Yogi physically, but Winnie's got the Zen.

What is your method of choice for hair removal?

JC: One that would work forever.

Can you kick my ass?

JC: When I'm in the studio as Sarah Bryant from "Virtua Fighter" you better stay outta my way!

Star Wars or Star Trek?

JC: No question for me...Star Trek. My first professional job as an actor was as an extra for "Next Gen." So cool!!

Are video games the devil?

JC: If they are, I'm the devil's sorceress!

Would you ever go on "Temptation Island?"

JC: Nah...I've got all the temptation I need right at home.

Ms. Cesario is currently working as a voice actor on "Virtua Fighter," and keeps active in the theater community of North Carolina.
