06/24/03 (Tokyo, Japan) - The Japanese sexy animation series, Cutey Honey that was a great hit 30 years ago will be transformed into a new live action movie. Famous director Hideaki Anno, who is best known for the popular Japanese anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, will direct this new version of Cutey Honey.

The new live action movie of Cutey Honey will star popular Japanese idol Eriko Sato who recently starred in a new Takano Yuri Beauty Clinic commercial with famous J-rock performer Gackt. The movie is scheduled for release sometime next year.
